In the last few years, the Negev evolves in giant steps in all areas of life – occupation, infrastructures, education, culture and sports. The city of Beer Sheva, the 8^th largest city in Israel which has the fastest growth pace in Israel, is leading this change and is in fact a central Metropolitan area for over 350,000 people who passes through it daily.

Hapoel Beer Sheva basketball club is the leading, most significant basketball club in the entire Negev region, and the only one which owns an international level sports arena with 3,000 seats, with a youth department including 25 competitive teams that train in basketball arenas throughout the city of Beer Sheva and at the largest basketball school in the entire Negev region – Over a thousand children and youth playing in the club under the direction of about 50 coaches.

In the last few years, the club has established its place as part of the top basketball clubs in Israel. A long 6 years journey in the lower leagues came to an end in the 2017/18 season with an historic qualification of the team to the Israel Basketball Super League (the top basketball league in Israel), while building a large fan base, promoting youth players and establishing a club which is rooted through the community and involved in educational programs in schools, hosting young kids and making the good people of the city proud in their club.

This year, as in the years before, we will continue making our vision into a reality, by building a high-quality basketball club which represent our values: Excellence, success and hard work – by the club, the city citizens and the entire Metropolitan area.
